Camping at the Mabuasehube Pan. This is possibly the largest pan that has camping sites and facilities. camp10.jpg (34768 bytes)
There were quite a few hornbills around the camp. There are also a(n almost) tame Black Backed Jackal and an Aardwolf. The Jackal seems to enjoy the company of people as he never moved more than 30m away from the camp at night. During the day he was gone. The Aardwolf is obviously also used to people as it came to scavenge from the rubbish bin and even dragged one of Vinkie's metal boxes that contained food, away. It actually managed to open one box but he was caught "red-handed" and did not get away with anything.

Vinkie will try to see if he has any pictures of this.

mug.jpg (20101 bytes) Here is a classic example of what type of people should be kept out of Game Parks. These guys went to play cricket in the middle of the pan and even had the audacity to boast about it and tell the Game Park officials about it. Vinkie has submitted these photographs and their registration numbers to the Getaway Magazine to post in their "mug-of-the-month" section.
