Botswana

Our first experience of Botswana Game Parks. We visited the Khutse Game Reserve that is situated on the Soutern side of the larger Central Kalahari Game Reserve almost in the center of Botswana. This was during the new year period when the summer is at its peak and temperatures soar to 40ºC. In this Game Park (as with almost all Goverment Parks) there are almost not facilities. A sign to indicate camping spots and (at some spots) a long drop (field toilet) is all you get. There is no water available apart from at the main gate and that water is quite brackish.

We went for a quite a long walk in this pan (Moreswe Pan) oblivious of the dangers as there are most definitely lions in the park but as this was our first we only realised it later.
