Skydiving

Once you've tasted fligt, you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, 'cause there you have been and there you long to return. (Leonardo da Vinci)

The sky is no limit. Vinkie currently has just over 1300 jumps and has been jumping since January 1982. Vinkie has had a few accidents, but he is still very much alive and jumping.

The parachute used here is a Peregrine (named for a bird) 150 sq ft.

This parachute is based on the Americam Excalibur.

Here Vinkie poses as Santa.

Santa Claus really does come from the sky.
Appie in the thorn bush Sometimes a less experienced (and even experienced) jumpers end up hooked onto/into more than just the sport. There are other uses for a 4x4 as well.
11 jumpers from a C130 An open day at the Waterkloof Air-force base in Pretoria, Gauteng
Citrudal, Western Cape. At Citrusdal in the Western Cape Vinkie spent some time as a student. The plane on the right is a Cessna 207. The DZ is on a Citrus farm (oranges) located in a long valley. It gets very hot during summer and snow can be found at intervals in the winter. Cessna 207
Kaalgat This is a typical thing to do when reaching 100 jumps. I did not have 100 but, hey, it's fun anyway.

The parachute used here is a Peregrine 190 sq ft.
