This is what it looks like with a 4x4

Hennops 4x4 trail

The Hennops trail is approximately 30km northwest of Johannesburg on the way to a famous holiday spot called Hartebeespoort dam

The start of the trail is about 35 degrees steep

Here off-roaders can play around with their vehicles without the risk of breaking the vehicle (unless you really try).

Going into a ditch

The circular trail is about 5km long but generally takes 4 hours to complete if driving at leisure and enjoying a braai and drinks, and taking pictures

Vinkie has been to this trail very often as it provides the excitement of off-road conditions and the tranquillity of nature in a small packet.
Spinning into position

Almost in position

OK, in position

Huffing and puffing to get Vinkie's trusty old Hilux to pose for these pictures. (No diff-lock). A close up look of the hole Good pose

Time to braai (bar-b-q)

There was time for food as well.

Ladies, please take note!!!!!!!!!! There is some water.

Please read the instruction on this board. Ladies take note.

Water

Wow, that is steep! Almost there

The last uphill before exiting from the grounds looks very steep, but for a Hilux it is very obvious that it is no obstacle.

Aagh, that was nothing.
he17.jpg (168960 bytes) A friend wanted to test drive his new shape Hilux 4x4 and invited Vinkie along. Being of a specific frame of mind the invitation was very welcome. he19.jpg (81510 bytes) he20.jpg (74833 bytes)
